Common Questions

How long does setup take?
Under 30 minutes end-to-end. After you pay, our engine provisions your tenant (dashboard, database, Shopify custom app) in ~15 minutes, then you click your install link, approve permissions, and connect Meta. No code, no developer, no manual token pasting.
What Meta permissions does KAK need?
KAK requests ads_management, ads_read, and business_management via Facebook OAuth. These are the minimum permissions needed to read your campaign data, sync audiences, and send CAPI events. You can revoke access anytime from your Facebook Settings.
Will this affect my running campaigns?
No. KAK is read-only for campaigns — it reads performance data and sends additional CAPI events, but never modifies your campaigns, budgets, or ad sets. Audience syncs are additive — they create new Custom Audiences in your ad account without touching existing ones.
What happens when my Meta token expires?
Nothing — because KAK handles it automatically. Meta long-lived tokens expire every 60 days. KAK's token refresh cron exchanges your token for a fresh one at day 50, before it expires. You'll never wake up to broken campaigns because of a stale token.
Is my data safe? Where is it stored?
We run a managed SaaS: each merchant gets their own dedicated, isolated database (one Supabase project per tenant) and their own dashboard at <yourstore>.edge.kak.sh. No two merchants share infrastructure. All PII is SHA-256-hashed before any external transmission. If you cancel, we permanently delete everything within 30 days and send you a cryptographic deletion certificate. Full details on our privacy policy and sub-processor list.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. Upgrade Pro → Managed applies immediately with prorated billing. Downgrade Managed → Pro takes effect at your next billing cycle so you keep what you paid for.
What’s included in Managed's human support?
A dedicated manager, Slack DM with 4-hour SLA, a 1:1 onboarding call, and 2 strategy calls per month where we walk through your numbers + plan. No tire-kickers — Managed has no trial.
Can I use this on multiple Shopify stores?
Yes. Each Shopify store gets its own KAK Edge installation with a dedicated dashboard, audiences, and CAPI configuration. Agencies love this — manage all your clients from separate dashboards.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel anytime from your Shopify admin or by emailing hello@kak.sh — no penalties, no lock-in. Your data is retained for 14 days in full read-write mode (so you can reactivate with one click), then 15 days in read-only mode, then permanently deleted on day 30. You can export all your data to JSON at any time before deletion from your dashboard.
